Two girls, two go-getters, two survivors of life threatening diseases who put their two heads together and came up with the idea of a company that will help people and that would allow them to have fun doing it as well. Thus began…It IZ Personal.
Misty has over 20 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry. She truly loved the “service” side of her job. Making personal arrangements for hotel guests and surprising them with”little things” was always the highlight of her day. Misty thought of the name, It IZ Personal, when she was fighting her second round of breast cancer in 2007. She got tired of people saying, “It isn’t personal or don’t take it personally.””Well it IZ personal to me,” she said, “And I want to provide that personal touch that is lacking in so many areas of life. Technology is wonderful, but we have to be able to be personal with it.” Prior to her Hospitality Career, she was an emcee, choreographer and State Director for the MISS T.E.EN. Pageant Organization. It was one of the best times of her life. She received great joy and pride by helping these bright young ladies reach for the stars, some of whom had never left their home towns before entering the pageant.
Kim has been a personal assistant for almost 3 years. Some of her services include being a Nanny, an elderly companion, a pet sitter and an errand runner. She truly enjoys the multi tasking and doing different services for people each day. Kim has faced tragedy twice in her life. She is a heart disease survivor and her only son was in a terrible accident and spent months in the hospital, all within a 2 year span. Luckily, both are doing well now. Kim was having lunch with Misty one day and each girl starting conversing about a better way to help people when life gets too hectic. They realized that they must create a company to do just that. “It IZ Personal allows me to connect to many areas that can help people.” Kim says, “I had been doing services for a few years, but now I’m in an office and the possibilities are endless.”
